How many leadership books do you have on your nightstand? Which one should we read?

Zero, I'm terrible at reading in bed. I always fall asleep after 2 pages. But if I would recommend one book - that should be around here somewhere - it's Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willinck. It's a must-read about teaching you the importance of taking ownership and not shifting the blame towards external factors.

How would you describe the atmosphere at ITP in 3 words?

Motivational. Competent. Welcoming.

Do you ever feel uncomfortable in your position as a team lead?

I guess I do feel a bit uncomfortable. But that’s part of the fun. Being uncomfortably excited is the key to challenging yourself and growing. If I'm totally honest, my superpower is making other people feel uncomfortable. It's a great way to ease up the atmosphere.

You need to cook for your team. What’s for dinner?

If I don't have a lot of time: DIY pizzas. If I do have some prep time: spicy enchiladas or a stew of pork cheeks.
