As a Product Manager you are responsible for defining products and features that seamlessly combine a great user experience, business benefits and emerging technologies. You are a pragmatic idealist in a way that you can envision the best possible outcome, but you know that you can only deliver value if you can ship products to end users.
What you'll do:
As a Product Manager at In The Pocket, you will work in a cross-functional product team with a crystal-clear mission: create digital products that make people happy and businesses grow. You help realise your team's mission by taking on the following responsibilities:
Product thinking
- You have built up the tools & reflexes that allow you to build products, independently from technology or platform. You can competently identify the platform-specific opportunities and risks and how they might impact the product strategy.
- You understand the fundamentals of building great products, both from a design and a technical perspective.
Product strategy & definition
- You work closely with the team to understand, refine and articulate the product challenge(s) we're trying to solve. You facilitate the exploration of multiple solutions to these challenges and help the team chose the best trade-off between business, user and technology. You understand the client’s long-term business strategy and can incorporate this.
- You prioritize the ideas into a roadmap together with the client and your team.
- You ensure the product vision and strategy are understood and shared by your entire team and all stakeholders.
Product Delivery
- You can facilitate the entire refinement proces of a low- to medium complexity product (e.g. a one-platform product, little to no external dependencies, smaller sized team, mature technology). You ensure product requirements are clear and ready to implement in a timely manner.
- You ensure there is a continued & shared understanding of priorities and trade-offs. You take ownership of ensuring we don’t just shape quality products, but also ship them.
Insight-driven
- You identify, track and analyse key product success metrics
- You run basic user research activities and report out to a diverse audience in a consistent and qualitative way
