Who’s your favourite designer? And why should we look him up?

Visually, that has to be Peter Tarka. An incredible 3D artist and motion designer that just brings about anything to life with his unique style. He’s designed various ads and product placements for Apple, among others. His designs just hit the spot.

What gives you a ‘designer rush’ when working on a product?

That moment when the entire puzzle falls into place. No matter if it's mainly UX- or UI-wise. Honestly, it can be either or both. When you’ve been busting your head over various complex challenges and, suddenly, it just all falls into place and into a good experience. I'd say that's the moment we live for.

Name one thing that evolved your skillset while working at ITP.

Teamwork. No matter how you twist or turn it, design is a team sport. While many companies do have design teams, in practice designers tend to get isolated and do their own thing. At In The Pocket, you're not only actively collaborating with other designers. You also get challenged by driven Product Managers, System Architects, developers or strategists. It really opens up your mind to all the facets that incorporate the creation of a digital product. And it makes you better at what you do.
